| THE SUNFLOWER - FAITH The sunflower turns constantly to the sun, following its course. A steadfast faith in God with our eyes turning constantly to God is necessary for true Christian living. Only by believing in God can we please God and find true happiness. Our faith should be our most precious possession. To preserve our faith, we must study the Word of God, we must live according to God's teachings, we must avoid sin, and we must pray unceasingly. Then, when our days on earth our ended we can say as St. Augustine said: "I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. As to the rest, there is laid up for me a of justice." We must be vigilant. Stay away from an atmosphere of unbelief. We must always be sure to study sound doctrine. We must not dwell on any doubts that comes to our minds. Avoid others who deny the truths of Christianity and those who scoff at our faith. We must be aware of reading books and pamphlets hostile to our faith. | |||||||||||||||||||||||

| JESUS, TEACH US | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

"Teach us, dear Jesus in your own sweet loving way, all the
lessons of perfection we must practice day by day. Teach us
MEEKNESS, dearest Jesus, not in words & actions only,
but the meekness of our hearts. Teach us HUMILITY,
sweet Jesus, to our proud hearts that wishes to be modeled
after yours. Teach us POVERTY dear Jesus, to comply
with every grace so as to never look back. Teach us CHASTITY
sweet Jesus, that every day we remember that our bodies our the
temple of the Lord. Teach us OBEDIENCE dear Jesus, such as
was your daily food in your earthly journey. Teach us THY HEART
dear Jesus, is our fervent, final prayer for all beauty and perfections
are in full perfection there.
